Large Polyp Stony (LPS) Corals can be classified as large fleshy polyps typically with a large calcareous skeleton. Examples of LPS coral include: Torch Coral, Hammer Coral, Goniopora, Acans, Favia Coral, Blastos, Scolys, Chalices and many more. LPS corals generally require low to medium light as well as a steady current. While feeding LPS corals is not required, LPS coral will thrive from a diet of either pellet or mysis shrimp.
